Fujitsu recently has released a rather impressive line-up of Core Duo noteboks with their Lifebook E8110, N6410 and N3530 models. While doing reviews of these notebooks we noticed an interesting thing. All of them come only with Intel’s 1.66MHz T2300 Core Duo processor without any possibility for upgrade.
That makes perfect sense for the cheaper configurations, but even Lifebook models at the highest end do not provide option for faster Intel chips. And that raises a question: Why provide high end 17” model at $2799 price point with the slowest possible Core Duo chip?
The only viable answer that we were able to come up with is that Fujitsu failed to ensure adequate supply of faster Intel chips to be able to offer a complete line-up of notebooks to the market.
