Update: Finally, after long delay Lenovo X60 Tablet PC is on sale.

Ever since we found out about upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad X60 tablet PC , we wondered if it wasn’t a mistake on Lenovo’s part to list this computer under Tablet PC category. Lenovo is already selling ultraportable ThinkPad X60 laptop line, so why put Tablet PC under the same name? However, configuration described in Lenovo’s documents stated clearly that this ultraportable will have Windows Tablet PC OS, so we were pretty confident about the news.

It seems that now we got a confirmation. French Graphics software and hardware online retailer Graphiland lists Lenovo Thinkpad X60 Tablet PC on their site. Lenovo Thinkpad X60 Tablet PC will cost 2140 € (before taxes) and be available from April 6th. It will feature:

Intel Core Duo Processor T2400 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB)
Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC OS
1GB of memory
12.1″ XGA Display (1024×768)
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
100GB HDD
Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g)
up to 7.5 hours battery time

Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet PC will not have the low power Intel L2400 chip as we thought earlier. It seems that Intel is having some problems with this chip. It was supposed to ship in February, but so far we haven’t seen a single vendor to include this Low Voltage Core Duo processor in their PCs. All other characteristics and price points of X60 seems to be pretty close to what we reported earlier.

Another interesting tidbit - if you do a search on Graphiland site for x60, there’s another Tablet PC listed next to Thinkpad X60. It’s Lenovo ThinkPad X61. There’s no additional information provided about it yet, so we are not sure whether it’s another Tablet PC or just a different configuration of X60.
