Sharp Internet AQUOS TV/PC combo launched

Sharp has launched a new TV/PC combo product called Internet AQUOS in Japan. It is not real TV PC combo like Sony VAIO L series desktops, but a functional combination of Sharp AQUOS D10 LCD TV with a sleek PC box instead.

Sharp Internet AQUOS comes in 3 configurations having 20′, 26″ and 32″ LCD TVs and PC boxes with:

Intel Celeron 1.46 GHz or
Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz chip
250-400 GB HDD
512MB-1GB RAM
DVD Multi Drive
TV Tuner
Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium OS

While a PC boxes of Sharp Internet Aquos are nothing to write home about, the main emphasis is on a tight integration between TV and PC function. Internet Aquos come with preloaded DVR software and are able to record TV programs even when the PC box is turned off.

Another interesting gadget that comes with Sharp Internet Aquos is an innovative remote control with a touchpad, for easy navigation and Internet surfing, as well as a single button switch between PC and TV modes.
